What People are Saying

"Every revolting scent and sight is described so thoroughly, that it felt as though at that moment I was THERE. I found this book quite enjoyable... These pages have something for every reader, and I highly recommend it!"

green jays eating

the red pen got heavy

and the work were mostly dull

‘the time i fell in love…’

‘my prom date…’

‘when my team went to regionals…’

so i pushed them aside

and looked out the thin windows

onto a patch where

          shrubs used to sit

          until the freeze killed them

all day chainsaws were the music

and without the shade

the grubs were wriggling to the surface

where three green jays

hopped and pecked

the sun making their blue faces

     and their green backs

they ate and i watched

cold still from the classroom and labs

all around them the world

               tries to eat itself

but to them the day is perfect

          the food free

     and the kids pass them

               without looking up

                          their phones
